“Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is your typical, if not ideal, masala film

Marking Karan Johar’s return to direction after seven years, it does bring back the grandeur of his cinema, but not without its fair share of flaws”

“It’s a film that makes quite a few statements on matriarchy/patriarchy and the core social fabric, which is a pleasant surprise, since one would otherwise expect a feel good love story cum drama from Karan Johar. Yes, all of that is there but the treatment is very different this time.”

“Karan Johar is back and how! In his own unique way, he’s woven a love story that will keep you in splits throughout and yet make you rethink what relationships are all about. He’s turned movie tropes on their heads with this one.”
